- If there is edema → MLD
- If hyperkyphosis exist → massage as hyperkyphosis
- Tight muscle (mastication muscle : temporalis, masseter, lateral/medial pterygoid, suprahyoids, infrahyoids) → trigger point, fascia techniques
- Intra oral massage treatment
- When temporalis and masseter are massaged, the direction of strokes from superior to inferior to avoid compressing the mandible. → do not use techniques that compress the mandible superiorly
- Self stretching – gentle traction is applied in an inferior direction
